Hi, I’m Joy—a writer, book reviewer, and technical content professional. I have a deep love of the written word and lifelong learning. Sometimes I feel like it’s all I know how to do! Write, read, repeat, and in no particular order.

I created this site to share honest, in-depth reviews of books that stay with me long after the final page. I will only write reviews for books I have completed and enjoyed in some way. A writer’s reviewer, I make no bones about it. Being a writer is tough business and frankly, there’s enough negativity out in the world. If I didn’t finish your book, I’ll keep my trap shut because that means it wasn’t written for me. May someone else find it.

I enjoy literary fiction, memoir and short story collections when im not on a tear through history books. I am curious about the world and reading is an incredible way to explore this blue dot and its inhabitants.
